The Prince Edward Island Kiwanis Music Festival Association is a non-profit organization that represents four local festivals. Our purpose is to promote and encourage growth in music through local festivals in competitive and non-competitive classes.

The Provincial Syllabus is intended to standardize the level of music presented at the Prince Edward Island Music Festivals. Our Association's Syllabus Committee creates the necessary classes and chooses the test pieces. This is a time-consuming task requiring considerable research, judgement and understanding. The Prince Edward Island Music Festival Association is therefore deeply grateful to each member of the committee.

Competitors reach the Provincial Finals by recommendation to compete at the Provincial level by the adjudicators in local festivals. The Provincial Final competition is adjudicated by a panel of three adjudicators and winners are announced. A list of the awards is located at Award Winners. The adjudicators at Provincial Finals have the option to recommend competitors to the National level. This year Sannu Lawt (Violin), Leah Jordan (Clarinet) Liam Payne (Piano)  and Robyn Perry (Voice) represented PEI at the National Music Festival competition.
